Welcome to Crooked Little Studio
Gel printing, color, layers, and creative experiments for curious artists.
Why Crooked Little Studio?
The first Crooked Little Studio really was crooked. When I started finishing the inside of a studio that had been built onto the back of a garage, I quickly discovered that almost nothing was square.
Since then, I've had several studios, and somehow each one has been a little crooked in its own way. One was squeezed into a tiny spare room, another shared space with my virtual art classroom, and my current studio is bigger, brighter, and entirely mine. But put a marble on the floor and it'll happily roll away on its own. Even the artwork on the walls seems determined to end up slightly crooked.
So the name stuck. And honestly, it fits. Crooked Little Studio has never been about getting everything perfectly straight. It's a place for experimenting, following unexpected turns, and seeing what you discover along the way.

Tired of reaching for the same colors?
Let the color gods shake things up. Pandora's Palette is my playful approach to exploring unexpected color combinations, layering, and discovering palettes you might never have chosen on your own.
Meet Diana

From randomness comes discovery
I'm Diana Garrison, the artist and teacher behind Crooked Little Studio. After more than 20 years teaching art, I've traded the classroom for my studio, where I spend my time gel printing, experimenting with color and layers, and following the occasional wonderfully unexpected detour.
I love helping other artists loosen up, try new things, and discover what happens when they don't need to know exactly where a piece is going before they begin. Around here, I consult the color gods, occasionally blame the paper pixies, and believe curiosity is one of the best tools on the art table.
