Got questions before you get started?
We've got answers!
Who is this class for?
This class is for anyone who wants to learn new techniques for gel printing. If you have never used a gel plate before, it's recommended that you play with it and explore a bit first before starting this class. Don't worry! It won't take long to become accustomed to it before you're ready to dive in!
How long will I have access?
You will have access to the course materials for as long as Crooked Little Studio is in business.
How much time is required to complete the course?
There are approximately 8 hours of video in the course that will take you through 5 different printing sessions as Diana explains her process and decisions along the way. You will take that information and work as much as you'd like in your studio putting the techniques into practice.
What kind of support and feedback do you offer?
You will have access to both a private Facebook group and discussion areas within the course where you can ask questions, share your work, and interact with other participants in the course. Diana will drop in often, and you can get feedback and perspective from others in the course.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds are not available for this course.
Please read all the materials carefully so you know what to expect and what you need to complete this course.
How will I access the course?
Once payment is made, an email will be sent with instructions on how to access the course on the Crooked Little Studio website. You will need a high speed internet connection to best view the videos. The course can be accessed on desktops and laptops. Instructions will be provided for downloading an app if you'd like to use a smartphone or tablet.
What supplies do I need?
A complete list of the supplies that are used in the videos will be provided in the course, but you are encouraged to use what you have. At a minimum, you will need a gel plate, paper, masking tape, brayer, acrylic paints, clean off sheets, and masks/stencils of your choice.
Can I buy the masks and stencils for this course if I don't have a cutting machine for the provided digital files?
You can use any masks and stencils you have or make your own; it is not required to use the ones designed for this course. Ideas for creating your own will be provided. That said, physical sets of masks and stencils may be available. A link will be provided in the course.
How soon will I be able to access the course?
You will have immediate access upon purchase.
Please add diana@crookedlittlestudio.com to your email contacts list to ensure you receive messages.
Are the videos captioned?
The videos are captioned and each video has a downloadable transcript. (English)
Can I download the videos?
The platform for Crooked Little Studio's courses does not allow users to download videos.
Please make sure your internet connection is adequate for streaming the videos.
Can I share, exhibit, or sell the work I create with what I learn in this course?
If you use the provided stencils (or the purchased ones), Crooked Little Studio should be credited when you share on your social media. You can share freely within the private Facebook group and in the forums within the course.
Most galleries and exhibitions require that 100% of the work you submit be your own; pieces created with Crooked Little Studio masks and stencils would not be entirely your creation, so these pieces should not be sold or exhibited without crediting Crooked Little Studio.
